Lonely Months, Two Stubborn Hearts

"No Place That Far" is a little-known track on Westlife's Coast to Coast album and one of the defining songs of a particular time in my life. Try playing this clip in the small hours of the morning and see if you don't feel like crying.

Spent Sunday night trawling through YouTube for songs on the playlist that used to be perpetually on loop in my CD player back in the mid-to-late 90's and the beginning of the new millenium. It was... a decidedly good night. To put it mawkishly, music has a way of turning back time and making you feel whatever it was you were feeling back then when you first heard the song and what it makes you remember every time you hear it afterwards.

Nostalgic musical trip was brought on by a televised announcement of Westlife coming to town for a concert this week. About time since I've missed them something terrible! Debating whether to go and brave the crowds or stay at home and replay their album for the 2,384,895th time.

(Not even apologizing for this post. Wear your fangirlism proudly!)
