You can see bits of the Room in these photos, circa early 1990's and 2011 respectively. I'm in the middle of yet another major "spring" cleaning (which was when I discovered the first photograph) and already threw away all of my high school and university notes and handouts, all of which filled up an obscene number of garbage bags, by the way; so much wasted paper. Some stuff that I did not have the heart to throw away because Nostalgia can be a bitch were kept in the cabinet dedicated solely for storing Not-Usable-Anymore-But-Cannot-Be-Disposed-Of-Because-Nostalgia-Can-Be-A-Bitch Stuff. Next on the To-Tidy List: rarely used drawers and cluttered desks.
Thinking of how to renovate my room. That flowery wallpaper is peeling off at the edges and has bare spots from where the dogs tore off the paper, so I'm prioritizing wall makeover. Wish I can just tear off all of it and have someone do murals for free. Another viable option is to haul out all my photographs and just stick them, Lomography-style. Thing is, I don't think I have enough photographs to cover all the walls from top to bottom.
PS. Anyone remember the show referenced to in the post title? Oh, come on...
